Brazilian Jui-Jitsu practioners wear a Gi with their belt based on their rank (white, blue, purple etc). Using a Gi helps practioners using lapels and grips, for control, sweep and chokes. No-Gi means practioners wear a rashgaurd, spats or board shorts. This form fitting wear helps focus more on body grips, body leverage and underhooks. Both are included in the BJJ program.
